It's not unheard of for a construction crew to unintentionally unearth someone's remains, allowing police to wrap up a cold case that's been in limbo for a few years. But the case connected with a set of bones found Thursday in Colorado isn't likely to be solved anytime soon.
.
The bones, found at a construction site in Aurora, are estimated to be up to 1,000 years old, police say. While investigators believe they belonged to a man of Native American descent, his cause of death isn't immediately obvious.

Police have turned over the case to the state archeologist.
