The Bulletproof Vest Test

I'm kind of surprised this is illegal.  If you wanna be this dumb, I say go for it.  And let natural selection play itself out...

Two neighbors in northern Arkansas showed up at a hospital on Sunday with chest pain, and severe bruises.  And they initially lied about what happened, then came clean.

Turns out one of them recently bought a bulletproof vest.  So they decided to test it out by putting it on and SHOOTING each other.  And yes . . . they'd been drinking.

50-year-old Charles Ferris wore it first, and had his 36-year-old neighbor Chris Hicks shoot him in the chest with a 22-caliber rifle.  Luckily, the vest stopped the bullet.

But then he was angry at how much it hurt.  So he told Chris to put the vest on . . . and unloaded a CLIP into his back.  Fortunately, it stopped all those bullets too.

The best part is their cover story though:  Charles didn't want Chris to get in trouble.  So he claimed they were paid $200 to protect a, quote, "asset," like something out of a movie.  And then they got into a shootout while they were guarding it.

Sadly, Charles's wife blew their cover when she got to the hospital, and explained what really happened.  Now they're both facing charges for aggravated assault, and up to six years in jail.

Hey It’s Ryan, let me start off by saying…YES, I was born and raised in Wixom, Michigan although a lot of listeners like to joke that I am from Arizona. WCSX has always been my radio home, I have been at the station since I was a 23-year-old intern, co-host of Big Jim’s House, married with kids. Family and radio are what I love, but don’t get me started on golf! Like some, I have become obsessed with golf and you can hear all about that on “The Ball Washer Pod” right here on WCSX. One of my other passions is helping out the Vets. Since coming to WCSX I have been apart of raising hundreds of thousands for local vet groups. Other than that, I am a goofy guy, loving life, my family and talking to you on the radio. Ryan writes about golf, family and what happens on “Big Jim’s House.”
