David Bowie Demos Box Set Gets June Release

Forty-one minutes of reel-to-reel tape from 1969, which ultimately got David Bowie his deal with Mercury Records, is finally seeing the light of day.

The Mercury Demos will feature 10-never before heard demos recorded by Bowie when it's released on June 28.

In addition to a different version of "Space Oddity," the collection also features Roger Bunn's "Life Is a Circus," and Lesley Duncan's "Love Song," plus Bowie's "Conversation Piece" which he calls a new song and "Janine".

Keeping with the demo feel, the packaging will resemble a tape box with Bowie's handwritten song titles on the front.
