The Blues Superfan
Laila Anderson is the 11-year old St. Louis Blues fan who first came to our attention back in November of 2018…
Laila suffers from a very rare disease called HLH, which stands for Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocystosis.
Anderson is one of 15 children to suffer from this rare condition. According to Johns Hopkins Medical, the disease makes a person’s white blood cells attack other cells, severely affecting one’s immune system.
In November Laila needed a bone marrow donor. She got one the next month and that’s when the St. Louis Blues stepped in and made her their unofficial teammate.
For the past four months she’s only been able to go home and the hospital.
It all started when her mom surprised her with the news that she’ll be able to see the Blues take on the Sharks during the start of the playoffs.
She has been with the team ever since even getting to attend game 7 in Boston Wednesday night.
Here is her mom telling her she can go to Game 7.

She was in fact the Blues good luck charm as they went into Boston for game 7 and got the job done! Laila was on the ice to celebrate!
