There are a lot of annoying things that you see and hear at a sporting event, but what these Vandy fans are known for could get him thrown out of the College World Series.

Most college baseball fans think the Vandy whistler is one man, but it’s actually two guys. Jeff Pack is a 64-year-old from Hermitage, Tennessee. Preacher Franklin is a 72-year-old from Smyrna, Tennessee. Both are lifelong Vanderbilt fans who started whistling years ago at sporting events independent of each other.

Standing out like this doesn't come without hassle:

Both whistlers often are threatened on social media, mostly in a joking manner. But Pack said he was sucker-punched by a Mississippi State fan after a game years ago, and an Ole Miss female fan smacked him at the 2017 SEC Tournament.

The trained ear of a Vanderbilt baseball fan can distinguish between their whistles.

Franklin is a rapid-fire whistler, always letting loose in three quick shrieks — chirp, chirp, chirp. And his whistles are delivered throughout the game and independent of other ballpark noises.

Pack’s whistles are more structured and situational. He often uses them to lead Vanderbilt cheers when the Commodores have runners in scoring position or have two strikes on an opposing batter, and there are a few variations.

They are now faced with the reality that they could be kicked out of the College World Series.

Detroit has seen some of its own "annoying" sports goers, including the Tigers Hot Dog guy...

We first met Charley Marcuse back in 1999, and shortly after that he became known as the Hot Dog guy for his very loud sales pitch. He first started the sales pitch during a "Three Tenors" concert at Tiger Stadium.

After many years he was let go by the Tigers for reasons i'm not sure even Charlie is aware of.

He now owns a shop called Emerson's that sells men's suits and other products..

Hey It’s Ryan, let me start off by saying…YES, I was born and raised in Wixom, Michigan although a lot of listeners like to joke that I am from Arizona. WCSX has always been my radio home, I have been at the station since I was a 23-year-old intern, co-host of Big Jim’s House, married with kids. Family and radio are what I love, but don’t get me started on golf! Like some, I have become obsessed with golf and you can hear all about that on “The Ball Washer Pod” right here on WCSX. One of my other passions is helping out the Vets. Since coming to WCSX I have been apart of raising hundreds of thousands for local vet groups. Other than that, I am a goofy guy, loving life, my family and talking to you on the radio. Ryan writes about golf, family and what happens on “Big Jim’s House.”
