A lot of wild animals are banned as pets in the state of Michigan and one of them is starting to take over...
Another gator has been captured in Michigan.
The Livingston County Sheriff's Office has captured an alligator that was found wandering on the side of the road early Tuesday morning. According to police, they got a call about 4:20 a.m. and a deputy showed up to the road in Oceola Township.
When deputies got there, they were able to find the alligator and capture it, taking it to the Livingston County Animal Shelter.
The gator is about two feet long and weighs 10 pounds.
Anyone who wants to claim the alligator should call the Livingston County Animal Sanctuary at 517-546-2154.
This is the third alligator in the past few weeks that has been found in the state.
You can't forget about the Eastpointe gator:
According to the Eastpointe Police Department, if it's a pet Tony Montana from the movie "Scarface" would have as a pet, it'll likely be prohibited from the city of Eastpointe.
Last month, the chief animal control officer stood with two alligators that were confiscated by the department and handed over to the Critchlow Alligator Sanctuary in Athens, Michigan.
Unfortunately, exotic animals are prohibited in Eastpointe so we couldn’t keep them as emotional support animals," the post read.
The officers then thanked the sanctuary for taking the "often misunderstood creatures" off their hands.
And the man who had to kill a gator that was on his property Up North:
A few weeks ago a man was out collecting minnows when he heard an odd hissing sound. A moment later, an gator took off at him. The man ended up shooting the gator a few times before it finally gave up.
Here are a few more stories about gators in Michigan :
