Freddie Pork Chop
29th May 1982: Freddie Mercury (1946 - 1991), lead singer of 70s hard rock quartet Queen, in concert at Leeds Football Club.
A man from London named Derek Simms is convinced that he saw a very famous Freddie in his pork chop…
Check out the photo of Derek’s Pork Chop where he claims you can see Freddie Mercury in it…

He was cooking dinner for his family when he glanced down saw and the rocker’s image in his meat in his pan.
Derek says, “I’ve never seen anything like it. I’ve cooked a lot of things and lived a lot of years, but I’ve never seen my food resemble a celebrity before. Before I served it, I called over my wife … we looked at it for a minute or two, but we were both hungry, so I ended up eating it. I know it’s a bit silly, but I’ve shown people [a picture of it] and they say it’s a dead ringer for Freddie.”
Hey It’s Ryan, let me start off by saying…YES, I was born and raised in Wixom, Michigan although a lot of listeners like to joke that I am from Arizona. WCSX has always been my radio home, I have been at the station since I was a 23-year-old intern, co-host of Big Jim’s House, married with kids. Family and radio are what I love, but don’t get me started on golf!
Like some, I have become obsessed with golf and you can hear all about that on “The Ball Washer Pod” right here on WCSX. One of my other passions is helping out the Vets. Since coming to WCSX I have been apart of raising hundreds of thousands for local vet groups. Other than that, I am a goofy guy, loving life, my family and talking to you on the radio. Ryan writes about golf, family and what happens on “Big Jim’s House.”
