For the past four years on September 11, Navy veteran John Heidenreich has setup a memorial on Telegraph and Eureka and saluted traffic as a tribute to the victims and first responders who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.

This year will be the fifth for Heidenreich; the first year he made it one hour, three the second year, six the third year. and 13 hours last year. This year he hopes to hit the 14 hour mark.

Start time is around 6AM in Taylor and he plans to reach 8PM.

There have been several events to remember those lost in the attacks on September 11th. One Navy veteran spent the day honoring the victims in his own way. He setup a memorial on Telegraph and Eureka in Taylor and saluted traffic.
