Tom Hanks is supposed to play Mr.(Fred) Rogers in an upcoming biopic A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood.
It got Big Jim thinking about the guy and one thing Mr.Rogers said that always stuck with him.
Mr. Rogers said his mother used to say whenever there is a catastrophe, in life, or even in the movies, “always look for the helpers.” He thought if the media could shed some light on the helpers when tragedy strikes, rather than constantly reminding everyone of everything bad going on, then it could provide hope, instead of discouragement. There is always hope.
