Rock stars tend to buy expensive fast cars like Lambos, Ferrari's and more but not Eddie Money, Eddie had an everyday normal car that he absolutely loved!

Back in 2008 Eddie talked to MotorTrend.com about his love for his 2006 Pontiac Solstice which he absolutely loved over any other car... Eddie went though the car step by step, giving us his ratings and much more...

Eddie's rating: 9 on a scale of 1 to 10 for drivability and looks

A 7.5 rating for lack of trunk space

Favorite road trip: California coast or I-5

Car he learned to drive in: 1958 Super 88 Oldsmobile

First car bought: 1960 Triumph Herald

Eddie liked "driving up the 5 in California when there are no cops out,". "The 1 is a beautiful highway along the beach, it's gorgeous, very pretty. I like going on the tour bus, driving through the Appalachian Mountains. This is a beautiful country."

When Eddie  has the top down on his Solstice, fans have been known to stop at a light and get out of their cars for an autograph. "It's crazy!" Money says... "A lot of people recognize me when I'm driving on the highway. They'll wave to me and put their hands up like 'Two Tickets to Paradise!'"

Money gives it a 9 on a scale of 10 for the way it drives and looks. "It's a gorgeous car; it reminds me very much of a Porsche Spyder, the one James Dean died in," he says. "It's got the same kind of nose, the same kind of face. It's fun to drive, and you look really good in it."

It's got five on the floor. I love the clutch, the stick shift is great," he continues. "I used to drive a Triumph, so I like to work the gears. I like to downshift, to go from second to first. I'm one of those nuts, you know?"

Eddie's only problem with the car was the trunk space, according to Eddie there wasn't enough room for his golf clubs...

Hey It’s Ryan, let me start off by saying…YES, I was born and raised in Wixom, Michigan although a lot of listeners like to joke that I am from Arizona. WCSX has always been my radio home, I have been at the station since I was a 23-year-old intern, co-host of Big Jim’s House, married with kids. Family and radio are what I love, but don’t get me started on golf! Like some, I have become obsessed with golf and you can hear all about that on “The Ball Washer Pod” right here on WCSX. One of my other passions is helping out the Vets. Since coming to WCSX I have been apart of raising hundreds of thousands for local vet groups. Other than that, I am a goofy guy, loving life, my family and talking to you on the radio. Ryan writes about golf, family and what happens on “Big Jim’s House.”
