There are some weird cocktail names out there but this one for sure takes that cake...

The NY Post says Londoner Nick Griffiths donated his severed toe to a bar in Canada after he lost it to frostbite last year. The bar has a longstanding tradition of serving a famous whiskey shot containing a dehydrated human toe.

The "Sourtoe Cocktail" was first invented in 1973. More than 90,000 visitors have touched the toe to their lips in order to earn a certificate. Griffiths donated his toe to the bar upon seeing a "Toe Wanted" sign after the bar's previous toe was stolen. Griffiths will take the inaugural sip of his own Sourtoe Cocktail this week.

Terry "Toe Master" Lee says, "It takes six weeks to mummify a new toe on rock salt before it's ready to serve. We have been waiting for Nick to be the first to do a shot with the new toe and make it extra special. Nick's big toe is a beauty."

Hey It’s Ryan, let me start off by saying…YES, I was born and raised in Wixom, Michigan although a lot of listeners like to joke that I am from Arizona. WCSX has always been my radio home, I have been at the station since I was a 23-year-old intern, co-host of Big Jim’s House, married with kids. Family and radio are what I love, but don’t get me started on golf! Like some, I have become obsessed with golf and you can hear all about that on “The Ball Washer Pod” right here on WCSX. One of my other passions is helping out the Vets. Since coming to WCSX I have been apart of raising hundreds of thousands for local vet groups. Other than that, I am a goofy guy, loving life, my family and talking to you on the radio. Ryan writes about golf, family and what happens on “Big Jim’s House.”
