Video: The Refs Rob the Lions
What an amazing Monday Night game last night, at least until the refs got involved…
Early in the 4th quarter the Lions were leading 22-13 when they sacked Rodgers on a third and 10 play early in the fourth quarter.
Defensive end Trey Flowers was called for a hands to the face penalty on the play, which negated a Kevin Strong sack and caused an absolute uproar on social media and in the broadcast booth…
Replay of the penalty showed Flowers leveraged his hands near the shoulder pads and neck area, even Booger Mcfarland from the ESPN broadcast said the play should be challengable.. It wasn’t and the Packers scored a TD on their way to a comeback.
“I know that no one on the @lions will say it, so I will … that is a terrible missed call, on hands to the face,” Lions legend Barry Sanders tweeted.

The refs called Trey Flowers for hands to the face twice. Neither were correct.

Overall there were a few other questionable calls that went against the Lions. Hopefully they rebound and get back in the race for the division.
