In addition to Mick Jagger, Stevie Nicks also thinks comedian John Mulaney isn’t very funny.

Mulaney appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon where he was promoting his new Netflix special, John Mulaney & the Sack Lunch Bunch, a musical variety special featuring children done in the style of a classic children’s show. The special features a number of guest stars, but the one guest Mulaney couldn’t land was Nicks, who would’ve performed a parody song on the program had she agreed to do it.

Mulaney explains the phone call rejection he received from Nicks’ manager, and while the manager cited Nicks’ busy schedule, she also went out of her way to let Mulaney know that, “‘Stevie listened to the song, and she doesn’t think it’s funny” and “‘Stevie’s confused because this is not one of her songs.’ And I said, ‘Oh, I know. It’s a parody song that she would be singing, but if she doesn’t like it and is not available.’ Yeah, she doesn’t like it.'”

The entire story is well worth the watch and begins at the 3:50 mark in the video below. Honestly, it only makes me wonder which other musical legends will tell Mulaney in the future he isn’t very funny.
