Foo Fighters just released another surprise EP: 01999925 has five songs, including a Pink Floyd cover, live performances and b-sides, from their There Is Nothing Left to Lose era in 1999. It's the eighth EP the band has released in 2019.
The EP opens with a cover of The Obsessed's "Iron and Stone." Frontman Dave Grohl is a big Obsessed fan; he collaborated with Obsessed frontman Wino on his Probot project in 2004.
Their cover of Pink Floyd's "Have a Cigar" is also on the EP, which is rounded out by an original song "Make a Bet." All three songs were originally released in 1999 on the "Learn to Fly" single. The EP also has live versions of "Ain't it the Life" and "Floaty."
