In other “You can’t make this up” news: A photo taken by a resident of Snowflake, Ariz. has gone viral because the sky appears purple due to a local marijuana farm, thus creating a “Purple Haze.”

The photo was taken by resident Cara Smith and shared by the Facebook page of Navajo County, Ariz. The Navajo County page noted in the photo’s caption, “The purple glow is a result of LED grow lights from nearby medical marijuana farm Copperstate Farms and the snow clouds overhead.”

In an interview with CNN, Smith said, “The purple lights are always there but don’t usually light up the sky like this. It had snowed that morning and was still very foggy and cloudy.”

As for Copperstat Farms, CNN notes they have “40 acres of greenhouses — about the size of 30 football fields — that use a combination of red and blue lights at night to help its plants grow, according to a company spokeswoman.”

Now, ‘Scuse me while we all collectively listen to Jimi Hendrix.
