Valentines for a Vet
A 104-year-old US Marine Corps veteran wants people to share some love this Valentine’s Day and the love has already started to pour in…
William White, a 104-year-old U.S. Marine veteran who earned a Purple Heart in World War Two, is celebrating Valentine’s Day this year like never before, surrounded by more than 70,000 love letters and well-wishes sent from all over the world.
The California native hopes to add the cards to his scrapbooks, where he keeps a lifetime’s worth of memories.
“I’ll save every one of them like I’ve been saving little things that have come up until right now and they’ll be a personal part of my history,” he said.
