Rolling Stones Postponing Upcoming Summer Tour Over Coronavirus Pandemic
The Rolling Stones, who were scheduled to kick off their North American tour in May, have postponed their tour dates due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
In a statement, the band said, “We’re hugely disappointed to have to postpone the tour. We are sorry to all the fans who were looking forward to it as much as we were, but the health and safety of everyone has to take priority. We will all get through this together – and we’ll see you very soon.”
On March 12, Live Nation and AEG, which is one of the promotors of the Stones’ tour, announced in a joint statement they were halting all domestic and international large-scale tours until the end of the month. In April, they would reevaluate the current situation of the Coronavirus and see whether or not tour would resume.
