The U.S. Navy Blue Angels were scheduled to fly over Detroit last month, but the show was postponed, and now, we have a new date.

The Blue Angels will fly over Detroit on Tuesday (May 12) to honor frontline and essential workers amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The flyover is expected to last around 21 minutes and start at 11:30 a.m. near Sutton Lake in Washtenaw County, because heading east over Dearborn and Detroit, north to Sterling Heights, then over St. Clair Shores and ending over Metro Airport around 11:51 a.m., according to the below social media posts.

The flyover times are subject to change. People are encouraged to watch the flyover from their homes and stay in line with social-distancing rules.

The Michigan Air National Guard will also conduct flyovers across Michigan to honor COVID-19 frontline workers on Tuesday and Wednesday, according to a Facebook post.
