Bud Light recently offered a free beer to everyone in Denver if Broncos kicker Brandon McManus was able to break the NFL record for the longest field goal in the 2020 season, which is 64 yards.
Prater is the guy who actually holds the record.
That moved Prater to tweet at Bud Light, "When I break my own record, what are we doing for the city of Detroit?"
Bud Light responded and changed the competition. Now, it's Prater against McManus for the beer.
Whichever kicker achieves the longest field goal this season will, via Bud Light, score a beer for everyone in his city.
Go, Prater!
