47-year-old Chris Hoggarth from Troy was having a few drinks the other night and decided to go out and help the cops out…

Chris’s 20-year-old neighbor was having a loud party last Friday, so cops came to break it up.  And while they were there, Chris decided to help.

47-year-old Chris Hoggarth walked out and started arguing with the guy, who told him to go back inside and mind his own business.  He did go back inside . . . but then he came back out with a shotgun.

The cops heard a shotgun being racked, and saw Chris standing on his porch holding a gun.

When they ordered him to drop it, he went back inside but eventually gave himself up.  It also turned out he was drunk.

He’s facing charges for possession of a firearm while intoxicated.
