Drive In Haunted House
With so many events cancelled in 2020, what does this mean for Halloween? I am an avid fan of this fun holiday. Truthfully, my arsenal of Halloween decorations outweighs my Christmas collection.
Will the kids be able to trick or treat? No one really knows yet. What about haunted houses? You can’t have people screaming and grabbing you for the sake of a good scare. In Japan, a company is taking haunted houses to the next level by creating a DRIVE IN HAUNTED HOUSE. Created in a covered parking deck, visitors pull in, shut off their car and experience roughly 20 minutes of what it is to be trapped in your car during a zombie apocalypse. The charge is $75 per cat and for an extra $10, they’ll soak your car in fake blood. Check it out:
Haunted houses are super popular in Japan, but unrelated to Halloween. Haunted houses see most of their business as summer time entertainment, but with Covid, traditional haunted houses weren’t able to open. The drive-in haunted house has been selling out tickets since they opened. Improvise and overcome.
