Mark David Chapman, the man who murdered John Lennon, has been denied parole for the 11th time.

Per New York affiliate WABC-TV, Chapman’s parole release was denied following an interview by a parole board on August 19 at the Wende Correctional Facility near Buffalo.

Chapman, 65, will be up for parole again in August 2022. He’s currently serving a 20-years-to-life sentence.

Chapman murdered Lennon on December 8, 1980 within the entranceway of his Manhatten apartment building, The Dakota. Lennon was only 40.
