Amazon Hiring 100,000 New Workers Across the U.S. and Canada, Including in Michigan
Amazon has announced it will bring on 100,000 new employees to keep up with the high demand in online orders.
The new employees, the company says, will pack, ship or sort orders. Part-time and full-time roles will be available.
The roles offer a starting wage of at least $15 per hour, and in select cities Amazon is offering sign-on bonuses up to $1,000 to new hires, according to a release.
The new positions are also separate from their usual holiday hiring.
Michigan is one of the states in which the new Amazon jobs are currently available, along with Arizona, California, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, New Jersey, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Utah, Washington and Wisconsin.
