Report: Matthew Stafford Heading to the L.A. Rams
The Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Rams have struck a major deal, taking longtime Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford from Detroit to Los Angeles in exchange for Jared Goff and a package of picks.
The news comes from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, who broke the story Saturday.
After the agreement goes through, the Lions will snag a third-round pick in 2021, a first-round pick in 2022 and a first-round pick in 2023.
The deal is expected to be made official at the beginning of the new league year on March 17.
In other news, new Lions general manager Brad Holmes was brought on earlier this month, as was new head coach Dan Campbell.
Stafford has been with the Lions for more than a decade, and we’re certainly going to miss him!
