If you think dining in the dark sounds cool, here's an event for you.

Explore Hidden is launching "Pitch Black," a dining-in-the-dark event, in Detroit this May. The event will take place at a secret location from May 20 to 27.

According to Explore Hidden, the point of dining in pitch black is so that people focus on taste, smell, mouthfeel and sound.

"There are no food snaps here, so Insta-happy snappers be warned!" the event page states. "All diners must hand over phones, watches and any other light sources before the event begins, dining is in pitch black after all. Diners will enter a warmly lit room, before being accompanied by waiters into the dining room and plunged into utter darkness to enjoy an unusual dining experience."

Each dinner run about 90 minutes. Meals are blindfolded, too. The event is open to people 21 and over.
