"Rebel Rebel" was written and produced by David Bowie, and is about a boy who rebels against his parents by wearing makeup and women's clothes. "Rebel Rebel" was a defining song of the Glam Rock era. Two versions of the song were recorded, the well-known UK single release and the shorter US single release. The song charted #5 in the UK and #64 in the US.
