Here’s the Skinny on the Lions for the 2021 NFL Draft
The first round of the 2021 NFL Draft happens tonight (April 29) at 8 p.m.
That debut round is expected to run until roughly 11:30 p.m. Next, rounds two and three will begin around 7 p.m. Friday, with the final rounds taking place Saturday beginning at noon.
This is a big draft for the Lions, as it’s the first with new Detroit Lions GM Brad Holmes and Head Coach Dan Campbell.
For the first round, Detroit has the No. 7 pick. The Lions have six total picks in the draft, but that could change, based on trading.
Here’s what the Lions picks look like right now:
Round 1 – Pick 7
Round 2 – Pick 9
Round 3 – Pick 8
Round 3 – Pick 38
Round 4 – Pick 7
Round 5 – Pick 9

Anne Erickson started her radio career shortly after graduating from Michigan State University and has worked on-air in Detroit, Flint, Toledo, Lansing and beyond. As someone who absolutely loves rock, metal and alt music, she instantly fell in love with radio and hasn’t looked back. When she’s not working, Anne makes her own music with her band, Upon Wings, and she also loves cheering on her favorite Detroit and Michigan sports teams, especially Lions and MSU football. Anne is also an award-winning journalist, and her byline has run in a variety of national publications. You can also hear her weekends on WRIF.
