Video: The Cicadas are Back!
Look out everyone, the Cicadas are back and Ann Arbor has our first proof… This was a video that Brad Maze took and sent to Channel 7 news. As you…

A plastic bag full of crawling periodical cicada nymphs that TJ Mathews has collected from neighbors’ yards on May 18, 2021 in Takoma Park, Maryland. Mathews is collecting hundreds of the insects — members of the Magicicadas periodical cicada Brood X — which he will roast, grind and turn into a protein-rich powder he mixes into smoothies. The cicadas are beginning to emerge in the eastern United States and some Midwestern states after living underground and feeding off of tree roots for 17 years.
