A multi-year construction project is set for I-275 in metro Detroit beginning this summer and running through 2024.

The nearly $270 million project will repair 65 bridges and 24 miles of freeway, running from Will Carleton Road to Six Mile Road.

This year, the focus is repairing concrete between Will Carlton and Northline roads, plus culvert replacements between Northline and Five Mile.

In 2022, the focus will shift to the southbound lanes between Northline and Five Mile.

In 2023, the project will work the northbound lanes between Northline Road and M-14.

In 2024, the focus will be on the northbound lanes between M-14 and Five Mile Road.
