NASCAR Races at the Michigan International Speedway Won’t Have Capacity Limits or Mask Requirements
The Michigan International Speedway has announced that the track will be open at full capacity this summer- and there’s no mask requirement, either.
The last time fans were allowed at full capacity was back in August 2019.
“No race weekend is complete without fans and we are beyond excited and ready to welcome them back to (MIS) with no restrictions,” MIS President Rick Brenner said in a statement.
All of Michigan’s restrictions on outdoor gatherings were lifted on June 1. The MIS grandstands can accommodate up to 56,000 people.
NASCAR previously required infield visitors to be fully vaccinated, but that requirement has been lifted.
