Red Hots Coney Island will soon pass its 100 anniversary of serving up delicious coneys to the metro Detroit area, but now, it’s all coming to an end.
Red Hots, located in Highland Park, will close in late July, a month following that 100th year mark, which falls on Saturday (June 26).
Husband and wife team Rich and Carol Harlan co-own the restaurant, and they feel it’s simply time to retire.
Over the years, Red Hots has served countless locals. They also scored a makeover in 2015, after press on the Food Network’s “American Diner Revival.”
