Fleetwood Mac – “Silver Springs”

“Silver Springs” was supposed to end up on Fleetwood Mac’s masterpiece ‘Rumours,’ and the reasons why it didn’t depend on who you ask in the band.  While it ended up originally being the B-Side to “Go Your Own Way,” “Silver Springs” ended up on Fleetwood Mac’s 1997 live album ‘The Dance’ and was finally released as a proper single.

Fleetwood Mac's 1997 "The Dance" Tour rolled through the Motor City October 4th, 1997.  They played a total of 26 songs that night, including "Go Your Own Way," one of the live performances featured this weekend as part of the WCSX Live Archive Weekend.  The Palace show opened with "The Chain," wrapped with "Go Your Own Way" and included three encores, "Dont' Stop," "Songbird" and " Farmer's Daughter" (a Beach Boys cover).  Performances and interview material from the 1997 tour below.
