Michigan is a pretty awesome place to live, according to a new study.

U.S. World & News has released their annual stats on the Best Places to Live in the U.S., ranking metropolitan areas by a number of factors, including cost of living, job market and quality of life.

Six areas in Michigan made the cut, with the top city, Ann Arbor, ranking a high No. 12.

"U.S. News analyzed the 150 most populous metro areas to find the best places to live," the publication stated. "To make the top of the list, a place had to have good value, be a desirable place to live, have a strong job market and a high quality of life."

Here are the six metro areas that made the cut:

Ann Arbor (#12)
Grand Rapids (#34)
Kalamazoo (#51)
Lansing (#64)
Detroit (#127)
Flint (#144)
