Michigan reportedly has some of the most affordable cities to live in throughout the U.S. Honestly, what's not to love about this great state, from the Great Lakes to the fall colors to the warm summers on the beach? I love it here, but I also grew up in Michigan, so perhaps I'm a bit biased.

According to Homeia.com, Michigan "offers the best and most affordable cities to live in." They added that it's "also a very affordable state in which to live, with an income tax of 4.5% and a state tax of 6% (as of October 2020)."

So, which Michigan city is the most affordable to live in for all of Michigan? According to Homeia.com, the No. 1 pick is Lansing, Michigan. My hometown! "It is home to the Michigan State Capitol, the state Supreme Court, and the Court of Appeals," they state. "The city is also a hub for learning, with Michigan State University in the neighboring city of East Lansing and plenty of opportunities for people seeking higher education. There are also medical schools, veterinary schools, nursing schools, and law schools in the area."

Here are the 10 Most Affordable Cities in Michigan (via Homeia.com):

1. Lansing
2. Muskegon
3. Kalamazoo
4. Manistee
5. Battle Creek
6. Iron Mountain
7. Albion
8. Springfield
9. Jackson
10. Menominee
