Michigan School Shooting Suspect’s Parents Found Hiding in a Building
The parents of Ethan Crumbley, the teen accused of killing four students at Oxford High School, were found hiding in a building in Detroit early Saturday (Dec. 4).
Detroit Police Chief James E. White stated that the parents, James and Jennifer Crumbley, were found in a commercial building in the city that housed artwork.
According to White, the couple did not turn themselves in. “This isn’t indicative of turning yourself in — hiding in a warehouse,” White said.
White added that the two “were aided in getting into the building,” adding that the person who helped them may also have charges filed against them.
The couple was found following a tip, in which a Detroit business owner saw a car tied to the Crumbleys in his parking lot late Friday (Dec. 3), according to Oakland County Undersheriff Michael McCabe. He said the parents seemed to be “distressed” when discovered. On Friday, the Oakland County prosecutor filed involuntary manslaughter charges against them.
