The Detroit Lions finally won their first game of the season last weekend, and in honor, some Lions fans are going to get free pizza. Shield's Restaurant and Pizzerias in Troy, Southfield, and Detroit are fulfilling their promise to give out a free pizza whenever the Lions scored their first win. Shield's made the promise last month.

The free pizza will be available Tuesday (Dec. 7) from 5 to 8 p.m. at Shield's. They'll give away a free small pizza with one topping. Groups of three or more will score one large with one topping. Extra toppings are available for an add-on cost. The offer is good for dine-in-only customers without previous reservations, according to a press release.

“The team has had some tough breaks this season and we’re glad to see them pull out a victory, especially at home and against Minnesota,” Paul Andoni of Shield’s said. “We’re glad to show our loyalty by giving away free pizza to celebrate their first win. Maybe this is the start of a new trend for the team!”

The free pizza will be available at the following Shield’s locations:

5057 Woodward Avenue, Detroit
25101 Telegraph, Southfield
1476 W. Maple, Troy
