The Heisman Trust has released its four finalists for the 2021 Heisman trophy, and Twitter is ablaze.

The four finalists include Michigan defensive end Aidan Hutchinson, Alabama quarterback Bryce Young, Pittsburgh quarterback Kenny Pickett and Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud.

But, where’s Michigan State University’s Kenneth Walker III? Whether or not you’re a State fan, there’s no denying the talent and drive of Kenneth Walker III. He who ranks second in the U.S. and first in the Power 5, with 1,646 rushing yards on top of 18 rushing touchdowns. I think he should have been a shoo-in. Some sports critics think it has to do with the “brand” of college teams- in other words, a political move that teams such as Ohio State, Alabama and Michigan will also get these picks, because of their football “brand.” Personally, I think Michigan State has built up its brand over the past decade to become a hot contender in football on the national scene. Anyway, hopefully Walker sticks around another season and gets the honor next year, but there’s some buzz that he might go to the NFL.
