Michigan State’s Kenneth Walker III Could Miss the Peach Bowl
Kenneth Walker III is a huge star on Michigan State University’s celebrated football team, but there’s a chance he won’t play in the upcoming Peach Bowl. Walker has been dealing with a left ankle injury, which hurt him during the game the Spartans lost to Ohio State, 56-7, on Nov. 20. That would such a bummer, in my opinion!
According to head coach Mel Tucker, he might not be well enough to compete in the big game against the Pitt Panthers.
“I’m uncertain about him,” Tucker said Monday (Dec. 13) during MSU’s Peach Bowl news conference. “I know he’s been battling through some things, so we’ll just have to continue to monitor it. But he’s not the only one. I mean, it’s a fluid situation. We’re going to get as many guys prepared and ready to go as we possibly can.”
Walker was named Walter Camp Player of the Year and Big Ten running back of the year. He also won the Doak Walker Award.
