Michigan is Getting a New Chicken Restaurant in 2022

You can never have too many great chicken restaurants, right? It’s no secret that Michiganders love their chicken, and now, a popular chicken chain is opening not one by several locations in Michigan. I actually don’t eat chicken, so you’ll have to enjoy the new grub for me. A bunch of my friends are already thrilled about this chicken chain coming to Michigan, so maybe you’ll be happy about it, too. Serve it up!

Korean fried chicken chain Bonchon is kicking off the new year by opening five new stores in Michigan, starting in the Detroit area. They’re expanding into Ohio, too. The first metro Detroit store, Bonchon Farmington Hills, opened earlier this month. The location is at 27915 Orchard Lake Rd., in the Orchard 12 Shopping Plaza. Bonchon will open a second location in Troy later this year. Later this year and going forward, they’ll work on opening even more locations throughout the greater Metro Detroit area and Michigan.

Bonchon started in 2002 in South Korea. It was so popular in its homeland that it came to the U.S. in 2006 and also started expanding to other countries. The chain has more than 370 locations worldwide, and it’s growing every year.

• You can’t sell a car on a Sunday

  A Michigan law put into place in 1953 states that, "It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to engage in the business of buying, selling, trading or exchanging new, used or second-hand motor vehicles or offering to buy, sell, trade or exchange, or participate in the negotiation thereof, or attempt to buy, sell, trade or exchange any motor vehicle or interest therein, or of any written instrument pertaining thereto, on the first day of the week, commonly called Sunday." • You can’t “seduce and corrupt an unmarried girl”

  According to Michigan law, "No man may seduce and corrupt an unmarried girl. Any man who shall seduce and debauch any unmarried woman shall be guilty of a felony, punishable by imprisonment in the state prison not more than 5 years or by fine of not more than 2,500 dollars; but no prosecution shall be commenced under this section after 1 year from the time of committing the offense."
