Single in Michigan? Here Are Your Chances of Finding Love
If you’re single in Michigan, perhaps you’ve wondered if this state is a good one to find true love. That’s not to mention Valentine’s Day is on the way, so single people can expect to be bombarded with images on couples happily in love, celebrating the holiday. Now, a new study has determined the best states to find love, and we can see where Michigan ranks.
The crew at Wallethub has put together a report to determine 2022’s Best & Worst States for Singles. “Besides your looks, personality, interests and employment status, your location can influence your odds of finding a romantic partner,” Wallethub states. “Everyone has different priorities when searching for love, but certain places simply make dating easier than others.”
For the study, WalletHub compared the 50 states across 30 key indicators of dating-friendliness. “Our data set ranges from the share of single adults to online-dating opportunities to restaurants per capita,” they state.
So, where is Michigan, and what are your chances of finding true love in this state? Michigan came in at No. 18 on the list with a total score of 52.92. That’s actually not too bad! On the “romance and fun” scale, Michigan was a bit higher, coming in at No. 14.
Michigan was a sky-high No. 2, according to Wallethub, for the “highest gender balance of singles” score, meaning it’s close to a 50/50 split. That’s among the highest in the country, only behind Maine. Check out the full list here.
