Cedar Point Announces Major New Addition for 2022

We’re just a few short months away from Cedar Point season, and this year, the park is debuting a new feature. In fact, Cedar Point has made several special announcements for the 2022 season.

The big addition this year is Cedar Point’s new waterpark at Castaway Bay. The waterpark will be located off of the Cedar Point peninsula and feature some new dining options, fresh activities and 10 attractions. The waterpark will open in May.

Another change is that Sawmill Creek will open this summer following a major renovation. It boasts 239 guest rooms, an 18-hole golf course, new dining options and more. The park also announced some new and renovated restaurants, the biggest being the Farmhouse Kitchen & Grill, which will open in Frontier Town and offer panoramic views of the park. Another new restaurant is Derby Dogs, featuring custom hot dogs. In addition, Coasters Drive-In was recently renovated and will make its debut.

The former Snoopy Boutique along the Main Midway will be reintroduced as PEANUTS @ The Point, a themed shopping spot featuring exclusive PEANUTS wearables, collectibles and park-exclusive PEANUTS merchandise.

Cedar Point will also host the parade and spectacular from June 24 through Aug. 14, the Frontier Festival from May 26 through June 19, and Cedar Point Nights from July 29 to Aug. 21. If you’re heading the Cedar Point, make note that the park is going cashless for all transactions within the park and its surrounding properties.
