Cedar Point Announces Adults-Only Event, Wild Frontier Nights

Cedar Point is a great place for kids, but hey, it's also a fun spot for adults. Now, the park has announced special adults-only nights, called Wild Frontier Nights.

For two weekends in June, Cedar Point will hold adults-only, separately-ticked events featuring after-hours access to major rides, plus special entertainment and food offerings.

The events, called Wild Frontier Nights, will take place June 3, 4, 10 and 11 from 9 p.m. to midnight. Cedar Point’s website states, “Your limited-attendance event ticket to Wild Frontier Nights comes complete with private access to Frontier Town for a dust storm full of activity, including hearty tastes from the chef’s private recipe collection, hand-crafted cocktails you can’t sip anywhere else, boot-scootin’ live music, dancing, bull riding and fun event-only activities for adults.”

Guests will have to be 21 or older to attend. Tickets run $100, and they aren't included with a season pass. Some bundles include exclusive food and cocktails. For more information, go here.

They say all good things must come to an end. That's even true in the world of roller coasters.

In honor of spring and summer being here, we're looking back on some of our favorite Cedar Point coasters that are no longer!

Last August, a Cedar Point guest was seriously injured at the park. As she was waiting in line for the Top Thrill Dragster, the woman was hit by a flying part off the ride and subsequently injured. The ride won't be back for 2022, but no word on if it will be back after that.

Cedar Point converted the Mantis into a floorless roller coaster named Rougarou in 2015, the latter of which is still there. But, some people miss the Mantis!

Just this season, Cedar Point removed Antique Cars, a drive-it-yourself ride through Frontier Town, in order to create enough space for a new restaurant.

Wicked Twister welcomed its first passengers at Cedar Point on May 5, 2002. It actually held the record for the world’s tallest and fastest twisting impulse roller coaster. It closed last year!
