The Detroit Zoo has announced a special After Hours 21+ Event Series, giving adults the opportunity to view the zoo and enjoy some adult beverages without the kids.

The series will begin May 21 with Zoo Brew, which will feature 80 craft beers from Michigan breweries, games, live entertainment and more. The theme of the Zoo Brew is "For the Birds" and highlights how the zoo is helping restore the vulture population from South Africa.

General admission tickets run $50, and include admission and 10 tasting tickets. An $85 VIP ticket ups that to admission, 14 tasting tickets, access to a VIP lounge and a commemorative gift. If you're a designated drivers, you can get a ticket for $30 which includes zoo admission and unlimited soft drinks.

Three other After Hours events are on tap, too, including "Summer Sips," "Spooky Spirits" and "Polar Beers." For more information, go here.
