Cannabis is legal in Michigan these days, and that includes both medical and recreational forms. Ever since becoming legal, the cannabis industry in Michigan has been on fire.

Now, there's a new, marijuana-friends bed and breakfast in Michigan. This spot has become a regular stop for travelers coming through Michigan that love their cannabis, plus local marijuana enthusiasts.

Copper House Detroit is located 17418 Monica Street in Detroit. They have an interesting story behind launching the bed and breakfast.

"As a Black- and Queer-owned business, our mission is rooted in activism and equity, they state on their website. "In some areas, our community is 10x more likely to be criminalized for cannabis yet we still account for less than 4% of ownership within the industry. This led us to open our home for education, activism and community. If you're a conscious cannabis consumer who wants to make an impact in what you do — you've found your home away from home at Copper House."

As for the personalities behind the business, they state, "We're Jess and Cara Jackson — the dreamers and couple behind Copper House Detroit. What began as a prototype, has become a community — in our first year of operation alone, we've hosted over 200 guests and learned how to design offerings based on community needs."

The business is doing incredibly well. "Our vision for cannabis is one that is equitable both socially and financially," they state on their website. "Jess has served as a member of the Social Equity Work Group with the City of Detroit and coordinates policy education sessions with legislatures through her neighborhood association in Detroit, Bagley Community Council of which she is Vice President." It's almost camping season, and it's no secret that Michiganders love to camp. Michigan is one of the most beautiful states for camping, as evidenced by our many great parks, campgrounds and lakes. I'm actually not a bit camper, but I do know it's a super popular activity this time of year.

Pure Michigan is always on top of the best vacation spots in the Mitten, and they've put together a list of 10 of the most beautiful campgrounds in Michigan.

The No. 1 campground on their list is Tahquamenon Falls State Park in Paradise, Michigan. Of the area, Pure Michigan states, "Take in the sights of one of the largest waterfalls east of the Mississippi at Tahquamenon Falls State Park in the Eastern Upper Peninsula. The Upper Falls stretches 50 feet high and more than 200 feet wide, deservingly making it a must-see attraction. But with more than 40 miles of hiking trails, 13 inland lakes and approximately 20,000 acres of natural area, there’s more to love about the park than just its majestic waterfall." That sounds lovely to me!

Read on for the full list of 10 beautiful campground in Michigan to visit this season, courtesy of Pure Michigan. Out of this list, I most want to visit the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore in Empire. I've heard it's one of the most gorgeous spots in America, so that's on my to-visit list at some point. I've actually been to Sleepy Hollow State Park in Laingsburg for a hike and definitely recommend it.
