Major Road Closing Between 8 Mile and Michigan Ave. This Weekend

A large portion of highway will be closed in Wayne County this weekend. The Michigan Department of Transportation has announced that southbound M-39 will be closed from 8 Mile R. to Michigan Ave. all the weekend.

The closure will start at 10 p.m. on Friday (June 24) and run through 5 a.m. on Monday (June 27).

Traffic will be detoured on westbound M-102, ie. 8 Mile Road, to southbound US-24, ie. Telegraph Road, and then eastbound US-12 (Michigan Avenue) back to M-39.
