Michigan Couple’s Limo Catches on Fire During Wedding
When someone says a couple is “on fire,” they usually mean it’s a hot couple, so the following incident certainly isn’t what they mean. Newlyweds Brendan and Isabel Kiel were on the way to their reception in Holland, Michigan, when their rented Hummer limousine set on fire. Oh, did I mention the wedding party was with them in the limo, too? I’ve been to a lot of weddings, and in a lot of them, and nothing remotely close to this has ever happened.
It sounds like a total downer, but the couple took the whole limo on fire thing in stride. Their wedding photographer, Andi for Andi B Photography, took photos of the fire and documented the whole event as the group did their best to navigate a dangerous situation. They had to stand on the shoulder of I-96 for about an hour, which isn’t safe or fun, but thankfully, everyone is totally fine.
Of course, the world took note of this incident, and Andi’s footage of the limo on fire and aftermath has gone viral on social media. The couple even has photographs posting with Jamestown Township firefighters and Ottawa County sheriff’s deputies. We can’t make this stuff up, kids! It actually looks like a fun time, even though I’m sure the couple wishes they had a more normal wedding day.
Check out photos and video of the incident below. Hopefully this rough incident is something the happy couple will laugh about and look back on years from now! Besides, it could have been worse. Or maybe it couldn’t, but it’s nice to see this couple making the best out of a rough situation. Congratulations to the happy couple, and we wish them many decades of wedded bliss- without any fires.
