What Did YOU Do During Quarantine?
Joel and I patched some roads during quarantine (not really). Below, meet Ryan. He taught his mom how to play drums and his dad to play bass so he could have a band during quarantine. I love this sweet little nugget, Ryan! He turns 20 at the end of the video and you see his mom after 8 months of playing. It’s so strange what effects the pandemic had on people on so many different levels. During the pandemic, I saw posts from people about how they were eating healthier, working out, and organizing the crap out of their house. We mostly watched TV, played video games, ate bad food, and gained weight during the pandemic. That sucks for everyone at my house. Did you do anything life-changing and positive during the pandemic?
What I love even more is the relationship between Ryan and his parents. If my kids came to me and said they wanted to teach me a skill so we could do something together, I would be SO HAPPY. Unfortunately, we’re mainly unskilled. LOL, ahhh… not kidding. Both my kids love video games and my daughter will play with me.. sometimes. My son, not so much. For some reason, Jake finds playing video games with his mom uncool, especially if his other friends are playing. He did play Fortnight with me for a while, but his building skills improved and mine did not. We do sometimes play Mario games as a family, but that’s not nearly as cool as starting your band.
I also love Ryan’s supportive messages. He doesn’t make the video about his performance. He’s happy and proud of his mom for what he helped her accomplish. The sweetness is overwhelming. I need to make my kids learn the guitar ASAP. 🙂
