Detroit QB Jared Goff’s Fiancée Says Lions Fans Send Her Death Threats

What has become of this world? Jared Goff's fiancée, model Christen Harper, says that she has received death threats after the Lions have lost games.

This is crazy to me for two reasons. For one, it's not her fault that the Lions were losing. It's not like she is the quarterback. But the second reason is the main reason this makes no sense to me. The Lions are known for losing. I mean, dude, they ALWAYS lose. You're really going to get so worked up over the Lions losing, again, that you send threats to the quarterback's girl? Geez.

Speaking in an interview with ESPN's Rachel DeMita on the Courtside Club podcast, Harper said she's had to learn to "not listen" to the terrible messages she gets on social media after losses.

"I get the most death threats after a loss, my DMs just blow up with, like, crazy stuff," she said. "People can be crazy, people can be mean, and I think what I've learned is to just not listen. At the end of the day it's a game, and of course it's important; for us, it's our life, and it's his life. But all those other people there, they're just there for entertainment. And they're gonna say things, and they're drunk, and they're whatever. So what I've learned is to kind of block out that noise and try to enjoy the moment because it only lasts for so long."

Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff flew down to Florida over the weekend to support his girlfriend, model Christen Harper, at the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit launch party, according to Sports Illustrated.

The event took place at the Seminole Hard Rock Hard Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
