PHOTOS: Detroit Lions in Action During the Pre-Season

We're inching closer and closer to the start of the regular NFL season, and Detroit Lions fans are really hoping this is finally the year that we make it to the playoffs. I mean, I'd be happy just to see us win a good number of games, even without a playoff appearance, but a girl can dream.

The regular season for the Detroit Lions kicks off Sept. 11 at 1 p.m. at Ford Field in Detroit, with the Eagles taking on the Detroit Lions. The Eagles are a pretty solid team, so it's going to be a tough game, but let's hope the Lions can pull it off. I can only imagine the excitement of the Lions actually winning their first game of the season.

The Lions are currently playing pre-season games, and they beat the Colts on Saturday (Aug. 20). Before then, on Aug. 12, the Eagles lost to the Falcons in a pre-season match-up. Check out photos from the Lions' pre-season games so far below.
