For the past few years amid the pandemic, seeing music and arts festivals canceled was the norm. It seemed like as soon as one was announced, another was called off. Thankfully, now days, it's much less common, but it does happen.

Case in point: One of Michigan's September music festivals has been called off. That event is the Three Stacks Music Festival, which was scheduled to take place Sept. 17 at Adado Riverfront Park in Lansing. According to organizers, refunds will be sent out immediately. All is not lost, though, as the festival is expected to return in 2023.

Organizers were pretty ambiguous when it came to why the festival was taking a break this year. They didn't get specific, instead simply saying, "Due to circumstances beyond our control, Three Stacks Music Fest will no longer be takin place this year," according to the event's official Facebook page. "We were looking forward to giving you the high energetic show you have come to love. Stay tuned: Three Stacks Music Fest will return in 2023."
